New Glock Gen5 Training Pistols

May 23, 2022

Established in 1963, Austrian based manufacturer Glock has been producing and supplying pistols globally for 40 years and is seen as one of the most recognisable pistol manufacturers in the world, synonymous with reliability and quality.
Now, Glock is proud to introduce the newest Gen5 training pistol models G17T, G19T and G45T with the additional benefit of being configured as Modular Optics System (MOS) ready. Designed specifically for use with either FX®, FOF, UTX® or UTM Ammunition, these pistols offer the same ergonomics and touch-and-feel which officers are familiar with their service pistols.
The T-Models are a distinctive blue with a revolutionary polymer slide, in order to make them visually distinct and light weight. This distinctive colour keeps training pistols from being mistaken for live fire weapons.
All of the new Gen5 Training Pistols offer the same well known Gen5 features, such as an ambidextrous slide stop lever and reversible magazine release, a polymer frame with a flared mag-well & without finger grooves, a polymer steel hybrid slide with front serrations and a precision machined MOS cut-out.
Glock Gen5 Features
Viking Glock Armourer, Simon Tole said, “With the majority of UK Police Forces adopting the incredibly successful Glock Gen 5 pistol models, many of these Forces are also upgrading to the MOS variant. When fitted with the RMS, it gives faster target acquisition, increased accuracy and better situational awareness. To support this, Glock now supply the Glock T Gen 5 training pistols with MOS capability as standard, allowing the customer to future proof their investment if they were to upgrade to MOS in the future, or use the same set-up as their live pistols to ensure training is as real as it gets.”

Viking Arms Partners With BreachPop

May 13, 2022

Viking Arms is proud to announce the recent partnership with Louisiana based business, PD3 Solutions (BreachPop, LLC), and the sole distribution of their unique brand, BreachPop.
Based in New Orleans, USA, veteran owned, P3D Solutions designs and manufactures innovative equipment for US and allied security and fighting forces.
The BreachPop is a tamped charge container made from soft ABS plastic containing P3D Solutions, Inc’s proprietary tamping medium. The tamped casing allows for the use of less explosive materials on a given target than when using traditional breaching methods.

BreachPops are designed to be easy to carry, using equipment already available, so operators never have to place charges in pockets, dump pouches, or specialty pouches. A pistol magazine pouch can hold up to two BreachPops and an ammo pouch can hold up to four. Standard BreachPops are available in 5” and 8” heights and charges can be built out to lengths ranging from 5” to 12”, with custom lengths available on request.
Executive Director, Rob Macarthur said, “Our team are really excited to bring this range of products to the UK market. BreachPops provide a quick, simple, and safe solution to deadbolts and door locks, purpose built to fit into existing standard equipment pouches for easy and safe transportation.”
To enquire about BreachPop, or to arrange a practical demonstration with one of our technical experts, please contact the Viking Police & Military division on +44 (0)1423 780810 or email pmd@vikingarms.com.

Viking Arms Stands With Ukraine

March 3, 2022

#STANDWITHUKRAINE

Viking Arms proudly stands with Ukraine, and all its citizens during these troubling and difficult times, and we condemn the unfounded acts of war and aggression, of Russian forces on sovereign Ukrainian soil.
We urge all members of our industry, and all our international friends and partners, to provide whatever support is within their power, to help those displaced from their homes, and the forces defending Ukraine.
The Disasters Emergency Committee, which is a coalition of 15 leading UK charities, has recently launched a collective appeal to provide emergency aid and rapid relief to civilians suffering during the conflict. Many other charities are also helping to provide vital life-saving services, like water, food and healthcare, to those caught up in the conflict, including those forced to flee to neighbouring countries.
Managing Director, Sam Macarthur said, “The Ukrainian humanitarian crisis fills our hearts and minds as we watch those displaced from their homes and in such desperate need of support on every level. Through the life-saving work of organisations like The Disasters Emergency Committee we all have the ability to do more than just watch and actually support those efforts.”

Viking Arms Receives MOD Award Following Armed Forces Covenant Pledge

November 9, 2021

Viking Arms has received a bronze award from the MOD’s Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). The accolade follows Viking Arms’ signing of the Armed Forces Covenant earlier this month.

The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) encourages employers to support Defence and inspire others to do the same. The bronze award is presented to employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant. Viking Arms currently employes 5 British military veterans, including one reservist and 2 individuals from service families.

By signing the covenant, Viking Arms demonstrates their long-term commitment to supporting serving personnel, service leavers, veterans and their families by providing employment opportunities, fostering relationships between business and the Armed Forces and offering favourable employment terms to support reservist duties.

Sam MacArthur, Managing Director at Viking Arms said, “We are delighted to sign the Armed Forces Covenant and be recognised by the MOD with the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme bronze award. Our pledge to the defence community whether serving, veteran, reservist or family member that we will do all we can to ensure they are treated fairly and without disadvantage commits to paper business values that have been in practice since Viking began. Over the years, I have seen just how much the Armed Forces community contributes to business. Veterans and their families bring a wealth of skills, experience, and innovation to the workplace and we salute all of our team members who have served.”

Viking Arms supplies a range of products including the Glock general service pistol to the UK’s Police, Military and Defence forces and are well placed to support the Armed Forces Covenant and grow greater relationships between its business and defence communities.
